LEWISBURG – A homeless man from State College has been charged with stalking a Lewisburg woman. Police say 71-year-old Ira Lee Phillips sent the woman up to 3 pounds of strange items and letters and showed up at her office, expressing his desire to marry her and save the world. Phillips was confronted by police and told to stop, but he sent her more mail, which led to his arrest. He is charged with stalking and was sent to the Union County Prison on $10,000 bail. The communications happened during July and August and the woman received another letter two weeks ago. (Ali Stevens) Follow
