SUNBURY – A day after it was announced that a YMCA would be coming to Lewisburg, work on evaluating the existing building has begun. The new YMCA will be located on the Weis Markets property along Route 15 in Lewisburg. The building, most recently, was a Walmart. Bonnie Wassmer is CEO of the Sunbury YMCA and says they will be leasing the building from Weis Markets, “We since 2007 have been working toward this facility with a group of volunteers at the YMCA. We have been running programs in Lewisburg and Mifflinburg for the last five years. In order to do that better, it will be so much easier with the new facility in Lewisburg.”...
