LEWISBURG — Actress and transgender advocate Laverne Cox will speak at Bucknell University Thursday. Cox, who stars on the Netflix show Orange is the New Black, is the first transwoman of color to have a leading role on a mainstream, scripted television show. Cox’s talk, I Ain’t a Woman: My Journey to Womanhood, will explore the intersections of race, class and gender. The talk is at 7:30p.m. in the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are available at Weis Center website or box office. Cox’s appearance is part of Bucknell’s forum series “Revolution Redefined,” which seeks to explore social change and how it has, or has not, evolved over time. (Sara Bartlett) Follow
