LEWISBURG — Several weeks ago, we told you the borough manager of Lewisburg was involved in an accident on Interstate 80. Police now say he is charged with DUI. July 12, 41-year-old Chad Smith of Mifflinburg lost control of his vehicle on a section of I-80 in Northumberland County. The vehicle flipped end over end for about 300 feet and he was ejected. DUI, careless driving and seat belt violation charges were filed this week. Smith has not yet entered a plea to the charges and a hearing is scheduled in the coming weeks.
