LEWISBURG – A Lewisburg man was killed when a tree struck him on Friday afternoon. The Daily Item reports 68-year-old John Hufnagle was cutting down a tree near Swartz Road to use for firewood. The tree struck and killed Hufnagle around 4 p.m. on Friday. He was a graduate of Lewisburg High School and served in the Army National Guard. Hufnagle was employed as a tool maker for Lycoming Engines of Williamsport. (Ali Stevens)
