KELLY TWP — A Sunbury man is in jail after an armed assault and kidnapping in Union County. Milton State Police say 19-year-old Darian Simmons-Walton arrived to a home along Timberhaven Drive in Kelly Township, Union County around 5:30p.m. Monday. Police say Simmons-Walton pointed a gun and threatened a 21-year-old male in the home. He then allegedly took the man’s 3-year-old daughter from the home and fled the scene. The 3-year-old is reportedly the daughter of Simmons-Walton’s girlfriend. The toddler was safely recovered in Sunbury and Simmons-Walton was taken into custody.
