LEWISBURG – There was not another computer hacking incident at the Lewisburg high school. The district’s superintendent is downplaying a reported security breach. Dr. Mark DiRocco said the issue was a Google Docs software issue at the high school, not a breach of district computer servers. According to DiRocco, the district received a report from a parent that high school students could see documents belonging to other students and teachers in their Google Drive folder. After investigating the situation, George Scurfield, technology coordinator, found changes made by Google to the network settings.
