LEWISBURG — The Lewisburg Borough received a $232,000 grant as part of the JOBS1st On the Road initiative. DCED Secretary Alan Walker kicked off the initiative Wednesday, saying the grant in Lewisburg will help support neighborhood improvements to attract visitors and new job creators to the area. Among other projects, The Keystone Communities program will provide funding for streetscape improvements for the Bull Run neighborhood. The JOBS1st On the Road is an initiative by the Corbett administration aimed to strengthen relationships with the commonwealth’s regional partners, and includes projects throughout The Valley. It is privately funded by non-profit partnership Team Pennsylvania. Department of Labor and Industry Secretary Julia Hearthway joined Walker at the announcement Wednesday. ...
